JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI (February 8, 2017) – A Jefferson City man was sentenced to prison for burglary, assault, and armed criminal action. Stuart Harold was found guilty on November 1, 2016 of burglary in the first degree, assault in the first degree, and armed criminal action. On February 8, 2017, Harold was sentenced to ten years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
The case stemmed from a 911 call on October 15, 2015. The 911 caller reported an armed person in her house attacking another resident. Cole County Sheriff’s Department responded to Buggy Lane. Upon arrival, Deputies learned Harold forced entry into his neighbor’s house with a knife. Upon entry, Stuart Harold swung the knife at one of the residents. The resident was able to evade the attack and eventually used a gun to detain the Harold until law enforcement arrived.
Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Aaron Maness prosecuted the case for the State of Missouri.
