PRESS RELEASE
Last evening, 8 DEC 2016, a Cole County Deputy
spotted a suspect vehicle in a Moniteau County burglary. The Deputy
stopped the vehicle and was subsequently able to take the suspects into
custody.
Deputies and Detectives worked with Deputies from
Cooper, Moniteau, and Miller counties. The investigation led to a
residence in Cole County. A search warrant was obtained and Deputies
executed the search warrant.
Several burglary cases from each involved county
were solved. Examples of some of the recovered stolen property are:
TV’s, laptop computers, electronic tablets, jewelry, firearms, cameras, and
numerous miscellaneous items.
Charging documents are being submitted to the Office
of the Cole County Prosecuting Attorney on five individuals. Charges
range from Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, Burglary, Receiving Stolen
Property, Possession of a Defaced Firearm, and numerous drug violations.
Cooper, Miller, and Moniteau counties will also be filing charges on the
suspects.
I take this time to thank the Offices of Sheriff in
Cooper, Moniteau, and Miller counties and the involved Deputies. We do
best when we work well together!
