Drug Take Back
10/27/16
The
Cole County Sheriff’s Department and the Russellville-Lohman Fire Protection
District is sponsoring a Drug Take Back Event on November 12th, from
10:00 am to 2:00 pm. This will be at Russellville-Lohman
Fire Station x, located at 5413 Route AA, Russellville, MO. Our last Take-Back was a huge success with
getting over 40,000 pills off of the streets.
Why
are we doing this? A study from 2013
shows kids from the age of 12-17 abuse prescription drugs more than ecstasy,
heroin, crack/cocaine and methamphetamines combined. Almost one in every four teens in America say
they have misused or abused a prescription drug.
All
of us have unused or unwanted prescription medication. Proper disposal of these medications will
prevent possible misuse and will also keep them from harming the environment in
which we live. Our last Take-Back was a huge success with over
40,000 pills off of the streets. Come
join us and the Russellville-Lohman Firefighters as we work together to make
our community better.
