The Cole County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating a suspicious death. Thursday, 3-24-16, at approximately12:48 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of Upton Road in Henley for a deceased person. Upon arrival, they found a subject identified as Casey Pitman (23 yoa) deceased.
Three individuals are being held at the Cole County Jail on several charges including; Hindering Prosecution, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Involuntary Manslaughter.
Investigators are still processing evidence and following up on several leads. An autopsy will be conducted today in Columbia. Due to the active investigation, we are not releasing any more information at the time of this press release. However, we will be conducting a press conference at 2:00 pm today, at the Cole County Sheriff’s Department.
