[ARCHIVED] Barricaded Domestic Violence Suspect in Custody

On Thursday, January 10, 2019, at approximately 9:24 am, the Cole County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 5000 block of Woodhaven Drive.  The reference of the call was domestic violence.

Upon the arrival of the deputies, the victim stated the suspect, later identified as Kent Marsh (WM), had assaulted her and then barricaded himself in the basement, with several weapons. We also determined that this same subject had two active warrants for his arrest.

The Jefferson City Police Department SWAT team was called out to assist. Once at the scene, the negotiators were able to talk the subject out of the house. He was taken into custody without any further incident.  Marsh was transported to the Cole County Jail for the two active warrants and Domestic Violence 4th Degree.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Cole County Sheriff’s Department would like to thank the Jefferson City Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol for their assistance in this matter.
