Public CPR & First Aid Training

Cole County EMS is dedicated to improving the lives of our citizens by building a resilient community.  One way we can accomplish this goal, is by providing interested community members with training in CPR, First Aid, and Stop the Bleed.  If you or your organization would like our EMS Professionals to provide instruction for any of the courses listed below, please contact our Training Division at (573) 634-5678, or send an email by clicking emstraining@colecounty.org

Hands Only CPR and Stop the Bleed


Designed as a basic community outreach course, our instructors will provide students with the skills needed to provide basic Stop the Bleed First-Aid and perform Hands Only CPR.  This course is designed to inform lay citizens on how to perform basic life-saving interventions prior to the arrival of first responders. As a basic community outreach program, no card or certification is provided.
Cost: Free 

AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED


The Heartsaver CPR AED course trains participants to give CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.  Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).  The AHA Heartsaver CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
Cost: $75

AHA Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED


The Heartsaver First Aid course trains participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.  Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and the 2015 AHA/Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid.  The AHA Heartsaver First Aid Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
Cost: $125

AHA Heartsaver First Aid
