Paying Taxes Online

Important Personal Property Tax Note
Online and Pay by Phone payments are not processed on our system until the following business day. Therefore a paid receipt will not be available until the following business day. Paid receipts can be printed from this website under the Collector's Office/Search Online Tax Bills approximately 3 to 7 days after paying. Allow 10 days for echecks.

Credit Cards
The Cole County Collector's office provides taxpayers the option of paying their taxes online. Payments for current real estate and personal property taxes are accepted online.

Taxpayers can choose to pay their taxes online with a credit card or via electronic check (see below). Credit cards accepted are Discover, MasterCard, and Visa. A convenience fee of 2.25% will apply to each transaction when using this service.

The Cole County Collector's office does not charge or retain any of the transaction fees charged by online credit card processor. Before finalizing your transaction, you will be asked to agree to the fee amount added. You may exit the payment process at any time prior to finalizing the transaction.

Electronic Check
Don't have a credit card? You can still pay online using a valid checking account by clicking on the Pay Taxes Now button above. Our credit card processor will debit your checking account for the amount of your tax bill plus a $1.75 convenience fee.  It takes a minimum of 10 days for echeck payments to clear the bank and paid receipts to be printed or mailed.

Pay by Phone
Or, you can pay conveniently by phone using a credit card or your valid checking account (convenience charges apply) by calling 855-568-0066.

You will receive your official tax receipt from the collector's office in approximately 3 to 7 business days after paying depending on which service you use. Allow 10 days for echecks. In each case, you will receive a confirmation number after completing the online or phone-in process. Please print or save a copy of your confirmation number until you receive your official tax receipt by mail.
