Real Estate Mapping
The Assessor's office maintains ownership maps for taxation purposes on every parcel of land in Cole County. We map and maintain deeds and other instruments that are recorded at the Cole County Recorder of Deeds office. We receive information from the County Recorder's office on a daily basis.
The acreage that we use for assessment purposes is calculated from aerial maps. Our latest aerial photography was flown in 2006.
Our tax maps are maintained to Statutory standards in cooperation with the State Tax Commission.
