Education
Meghan Woolery received her B.A. in Psychology from The Ohio State University in 2007. She received her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2010. While in law school, Meghan participated in the Criminal Prosecution Clinic which prosecuted cases on behalf of the Boone County Prosecutor’s Office. Meghan was also active in the Women’s Law Association, the Board of Advocates, the Student Bar Association, Phi Alpha Delta, the Journal of Dispute Resolution and the Tim Heinz 5k Planning Committee.

Experience
Prior to joining the Prosecutor’s Office, Meghan served as an Assistant Staff Counsel in the Staff Counsel’s Office of the Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC). During her time at the PSC, Meghan represented the Commission Staff in proceedings involving the enforcement of state statutes and administrative rules related to the regulation of public utilities.

Meghan joined the Cole County Prosecutor’s Office in June 2013. Meghan’s caseload focused on domestic violence, sexual assault, and cases with child victims. In 2016, Meghan joined the Boone County Prosecutor’s office as an assistant prosecutor and served as a member of the DOVE team. Again, focusing on the prosecution of domestic violence and sexual assault. In March of 2017, Meghan re-joined the Cole County Prosecutor’s Office as an assistant prosecutor.


Duties
Meghan is currently assigned cases involving felonies and misdemeanors to include:

  • Distribution and Possession of Controlled Substances
  • Fraud
  • Identity Theft
  • Forgery
  • Passing Bad Checks
  • Government Fraud
  • Rape/Sexual assault
