Instructions
for 2010 Online Assessment Filing

Online filing is not available after February 28, 2010

What do I need to begin?

You need to have your 2010 Personal Property Assessment Form that you received in the mail. This will provide you with your account number and your PIN, both of which are needed to file online. If you have not received an assessment form, you will need to contact us at 573-634-9131.

How does the process work?

This process is very similar to what has been required of residents in years past, but is simpler and faster. You should be done in a matter of minutes. Instead of filling out and mailing in the form, you may fill out the form online, and submit it with a few simple keystrokes and mouse clicks.

If you file your assessment form online, you do not need to return the form you received in the mail.

Who can use the online filing?

Any Cole County resident who has an existing account with the Assessor's office may file on line as long as your account is classed as residential. Your account is residential if the account number on your assessment form is NOT followed by a letter. Currently, farm and commercial accounts can not file online. Commercial and farm accounts will have an account number followed by a "C" or "F".
